Justin Klemballa

Master Instructor, Director of Operations

Originally from Upstate New York, Justin has spent the last eight years studying all aspects of the game of golf. He graduated from Methodist University with a Bachelors in Business Administration focused on PGA Golf Management. Justin had the opportunity to work with several accomplished golf instructors during his internships while at Methodist University. He spent 1 ½ years immersed in the Jim McLean Teaching System at Doral. He was the First Assistant at Jim’s Flagship Golf School in Doral, Florida.

Klemballa had the opportunity to study and work closely with many of the McLean Master Instructors as well as Jim. In 2010, Justin moved to the La Quinta School and was an instructor for the 2010-2011 winter season. In the summer of 2011 Justin was hired as the Teaching Professional for Primland Resort, which is ranked as the #1 public golf course in Virginia and #13 nationally.

Justin is known for his high energy and enthusiasm. He has a love for the game as a player and an instructor. Justin has been playing golf for more than 16 years. He has integrated his passion for golf with his studies to create a teaching approach that suits every players needs.

Darryl Jack

Master Instructor

PGA Professional Darryl Jack is an exceptional instructor who shares a lifetime of golf experience with his students. He has more than 25 years of success teaching players of all ages and ability levels and is passionate about the game of golf.

Darryl began playing golf as a teenager living in Puerto Rico, where he spent every daylight hour practicing and playing. A top junior golfer, he learned the game from one of Puerto Rico’s finest players, Carl James. Throughout his teens, Darryl had frequent interaction with Chi Chi Rodriguez and began to study the swings of Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Tom Watson, and many other champions both past and present.

Majoring in Education/Psychology with an emphasis on early childhood development at the State University of New York (New Paltz), Darryl played two years of collegiate golf while earning both a bachelor’s degree and New York State Teaching Certification.

Darryl caddied on the LPGA Tour in 1982-83, turned professional in 1984, became Wykagyl CC’s teaching/playing professional in 1987, and secured PGA Membership in 1990. He has served as the Director of Instruction/Master Instructor at The Jim McLean Golf School at Chelsea Piers, the General Manager/Director of Golf at Osprey Cove (Georgia), head professional at Wiltwyck CC & Woodstock Golf Club (New York), swing coach for Columbia University & NYU, and was a featured instructor on The Golf Channel’s – Golf Academy Live.

Competitively, Darryl has four professional tournament victories spanning three decades, including the 2008 Northeastern New York PGA Section Match Play Championship. His low tournament round is 66, low round is 63, and he holds two course records.

Pomp Braswell II

Certified Instructor

Originally from Harlem, New York, Braswell grew up in South Central, Los Angeles. He would continue to learn the game while serving in the United States Air Force, where he worked in the Skunk works Black Operations program. Braswell played College Golf for Saddleback Junior College and then San Jose State University alongside current PGA Tour player Arron Oberholser.

He has worked and taught the game along with some of the top instructors and golf schools in the game including John Jacobs Golf Schools, Dave Pelz Short Game School, Golf Digest Schools, Dave Maga, Ben Doyle, Scott Watkins, Shelby Futch, Ray Carrasco, Alan Tapie, Terry Okura and Paul Kopp. Braswell has been published three times during the Breaking 100-90-80 series. He now leverages his experience to help students play better as an instructor for Jim McLean Golf Schools.

During his playing career, Braswell competed on the Golden State Tour, Players Tour, Montgomery Tour, Gateway Tour, IGTA Tour, Tour de las Americas, Hooters Tour, Canadian Tour and Nationwide Tour. Notable Player that he has worked with include the Nationwide Tour’s Andy Walker, Big Break Ireland’s Julian Trudeau and Scott Yancy, Hooters Tour Big Break Vegas’ George Bradford and Canadian Tour’s Dong Yi.
